Come And Take It America

We are proud to introduce the next big movement for all Americans that love our freedoms. This is for the people that have enjoyed the good life this country has offered and want a better life for our kids. We want to protect our freedoms by returning this land to a more constitutional version for gun laws. Because without your right to bear arms you cant defend any other rights.

Nationwide movement of armed marches are spreading. If you would like to host a local chapter in your own town please send us details.  These monthly walks through your downtown area with like minded people will continue to keep the right to bear arms fresh in the minds of police. It will show the public that we are law-abiding friendly citizens and are nothing to fear. Find a network of like minded people here.

The stated goals of Come And Take It America are to:

1) Educate Americans on their right to openly carry shotguns and rifles in a safe manner.

2) To condition Americans to feel safe around those of us that carry them.

3) Encourage our elected officials to pass less restrictive open carry legislation.

October 19th we will stand under weight or arms and declare ‘THIS IS OUR LINE IN THE SAND!”

http://www.dontcomply.com/

Push back is growing to a planned ‘open carry’ gun rights rally which is set for Saturday on Alamo Plaza, 1200 WOAI news reports.

Several groups and prominent individuals, including State Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, who wrote the state’s concealed handgun law while he was a member of the Texas Senate, plan to gather at the Alamo carrying loaded rifles, including some weapons which are categorized as ‘assault rifles.’

“We cannot stand by any longer in silence,” says a statement by a group called ‘Don’tComply.com,’ which is one of the organizers.  “They (police agencies) have been left unchecked too long.  October 19th we will stand under weight or arms and declare ‘THIS IS OUR LINE IN THE SAND!”  We will stand as free men and women!”

Even though a concealed handgun license, which required a training course and a background check, are required to carry a handgun in a concealed holster, Texas law allows rifles and other long guns to be carried openly, without any training or permitting required.

Michelle Green, who heads the Texas chapter of a group called ‘Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America’ says that law, which dates to the 19th Century, was passed to make sure people could hunt game in rural areas unmolested, and it was never intended to allow people to carry AR-15s in the downtown areas of big cities.

“The thought of walking around a Wal-Mart or a Starbucks with a loaded long rifle is alarming, and it is completely disproportional to what anybody needs,” Green said.

Gun rights advocates say it is not up to the government to decide what level of weapon they ‘need,’ and say the Second Amendment is clear that no laws can infringe on the right to bear arms.

Several people organizing the rally say they are concerned that police departments around the state are targeting law abiding gun owners.  A man is on trial in Belton after he was arrested while carrying a long rifle down a country road while hiking with his son.  DontComply.com says San Antonio Police Chief William McManus has authorized ‘a policy of harassing law abiding citizens and gun owners.’

Green says most members of her group own guns and all support the Second Amendment.  But they say carrying a loaded rifle to a downtown rally goes over the line for them.

“I think most of us understand the need for hunters to be able to carry their guns when they are hunting out the country,” she said.  But she called the Saturday rally ‘alarming and sickening’ and said the ‘Come and Take it, Line in the Sand’ organizers are a ‘fringe group.’

Adding to the controversy is the fact that the Alamo is generally off limits to political rallies, and permission for dozens of political rallies were rejected by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas when they operated the Alamo.  But the Alamo is now under the control of Patterson’s General Land Office.

Patterson, by the way, is a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.

Homeland insecurity alert: Dry ice and dry runs

by Michelle Malkin

Testing, 1, 2, 3, testing. Jihadists never go on furlough. While shutdown theater preoccupies Washington, terror plotters remain on the clock. The question is: Will America keep hitting the post-9/11 snooze button?

At Los Angeles International Airport, two dry ice bombs exploded this week, and two others were found in a restricted area of the airport. According to the Los Angeles Times, the devices “appeared to be outside the terminal near planes where employees such as baggage handlers and others work on the aircraft and its cargo.” [Latest development: Baggage handler arrested in LAX ice explosions.]

That reminds me: It’s been more than a year since watchdogs warned Capitol Hill that our massive homeland security bureaucracy was neglecting these very areas of our nation’s airports. Grandmas, babies and war heroes are routinely groped, manhandled and humiliated in the name of transportation safety. But untold numbers of ground personnel still have easy, breezy access to airplanes and luggage.

Eight-in-ten Americans are dissatisfied with the way things are going in the U.S. – particularly as the fiscal battles in Washington have dragged on – and that grim mood is reflected in the share of voters (74%) who want to see most members of Congress defeated in next year’s midterm elections, according to a new Pew Research Center survey.

Chinese agency downgrades US credit rating

AFP – A Chinese ratings agency downgraded its US sovereign credit rating Thursday despite Washington’s resolution of the debt ceiling deadlock, warning that fundamentals for a potential default remained “unchanged”.

Dagong lowered its ratings for US local and foreign currency credit from A to A-, maintaining a negative outlook, the agency said in a statement.

The announcement came after the US Congress passed and President Barack Obama signed a bill that extends the nation’s borrowing authority and ends a two-week government shutdown.

“The fundamental situation that the debt growth rate significantly outpaces that of fiscal income and gross domestic product remains unchanged,” Dagong said in the statement, adding Washington’s solvency was vulnerable as old debts were still repaid through raising new debts.

“Hence the government is still approaching the verge of default crisis, a situation that cannot be substantially alleviated in the foreseeable future,” it said.

Dagong made headlines in August 2011 when it lowered its main rating for US sovereign debt after Congress passed an earlier bill to raise Washington’s debt ceiling.

The agency, which is far less prominent than long-established Western competitors including Moody’s, Fitch and Standard and Poor’s, has been working to further raise its profile.

China’s official news agency Xinhua said Thursday in a bylined commentary that US politicians had held the rest of the world hostage in the crisis.

But Beijing welcomed the agreement, saying it will contribute to global economic stability.

Dear Glenn, i don’t get you DEER HUNTER ref.

Dear Glenn, i don’t get you DEER HUNTER ref.
is anyone else confused by this or is it just me?  ok the guy shot him self in the head, is that what you think BHO will do?  just say fuck it and pull the trigger and shoot the USA in the head? for sure he would so long as he can blame the right and seize all the power. Hell what commie wouldn’t. but i still don’t get why you keep up the references to the movie? did you just see it or something?

Lots of Love TBM

The Deer Hunter is a 1978 American war drama film Act I[edit]

In Clairton, a small working-class town in western Pennsylvania, in late 1967, Russian American steel workers Michael “Mike” Vronsky, Steven Pushkov, and Nikonar “Nick” Chevotarevich, with the support of their friends and coworkers Stanley and Peter “Axel” Axelrod and local bar owner and friend John Welsh, prepare for two rites of passage: marriage and military service.

The opening scenes set the character traits of the three main characters. Mike is the no-nonsense, serious but unassuming leader, Steven the loving, near-groom, pecked at by his mother for not wearing a scarf with his tuxedo and Nick is the quiet, introspective man who loves hunting because, he likes “. . . the trees . . . the way the trees are . . .” The recurring theme of “one shot”, which is how Mike prefers to take down a deer, is introduced. Before the trio ships out, Steven and his girlfriend Angela, who is pregnant by another man but loved by Steven nonetheless, marry in an Orthodox wedding. In the meantime, Mike contains his feelings for Nick’s girlfriend Linda. At the wedding reception held at the local VFW bar, the guys get drunk, dance, sing, and have a good time, but then notice a soldier in a U.S. Army Special Forces uniform. Mike buys him a drink and tries starting a conversation with him to find out what Vietnam is like, but is ignored. After Mike explains that he, Steven, and Nick are going to Vietnam, the Green Beret raises his glass and says “fuck it”.

The soldier again toasts them with “fuck it”. After being restrained by the others from starting a fight, Mike goes back to the bar and in a mocking jest to the soldier, raises his glass and toasts him with “fuck it”. The soldier then glances over at Mike and grins. Later, Steven and Angela drink from conjoined goblets, this being a traditional ceremony, and it is believed that if they drink without spilling any wine, they will have good luck for life. A drop of blood-red wine is unknowingly spilled on her wedding gown, foreshadowing the coming events.

After Linda catches the bouquet of flowers thrown by Angela, Nick asks her to marry him, and she agrees. Later that night, a drunken Mike runs through the town, stripping himself naked along the way. After Nick chases him down he begs Mike not to leave him “over there” if anything happens. The next day, Mike, Nick, Stanley, John and Axel go deer hunting one last time, and Michael again kills a deer with “one shot”.

Act II[edit]

The film then jumps abruptly to a war-torn village, where U.S. helicopters attack a Communist occupied Vietnamese village with napalm. A North Vietnamese soldier throws a stick grenade into a hiding place full of civilians. An unconscious Mike (now a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Special Forces) wakes up to see the NVA soldier shoot a woman carrying a baby. In revenge, Mike kills him with a flame thrower. Meanwhile, a unit of UH-1 “Huey” helicopters drops off several U.S. infantrymen, Nick and Steven among them. Michael, Steven and Nick unexpectedly find each other just before they are captured and held together in a riverside prisoner of war camp with other U.S. Army and ARVN prisoners.

For entertainment, the sadistic guards force their prisoners to play Russian roulette and gamble on the outcome. All three friends are forced to play. Steven plays against Mike, who offers moral support, but he breaks down and loses control of the gun, grazing himself with the bullet when it discharges. As punishment, the guards put Steven into an underwater cage, full of rats and the bodies of others who earlier faced the same fate. Mike and Nick end up playing against each other, and Michael convinces the guards to let them play with three bullets in the gun. After a tense match, they kill their captors and escape.

Mike earlier argued with Nick about whether Steven could be saved, but after killing their captors, he rescues Steven. The three float downriver on a tree branch. An American helicopter accidentally finds them, but only Nick is able to climb aboard. The weakened Steven falls back into the water, and Mike plunges in the water to rescue him. Mike helps Steven to reach the river bank, but his legs are crippled, so Mike carries him through the jungle to friendly lines. Approaching a caravan of locals escaping the war zone, he stops a South Vietnamese military truck and places the wounded Steven on it, asking the soldiers to take care of him.

Nick, who is psychologically damaged, recuperates in a military hospital in Saigon with no knowledge on the status of his friends. After being released, he aimlessly stumbles through the red-light district at night. At one point, he encounters Julien Grinda, a champagne-drinking friendly Frenchman outside a gambling den where men play Russian roulette for money. Grinda entices the reluctant Nick to participate, and leads him into the den. Mike is present in the den, watching the game, but the two friends do not notice each other at first. When Mike does see Nick, he is unable to get his attention. When Nick is introduced into the game, he grabs the gun, fires it at the current contestant, and then again at his own temple, causing the audience to riot in protest. Grinda hustles Nick outside to his car to escape the angry mob. Mike cannot catch up with Nick and Grinda as they speed away.

Act III[edit]

Back in the U.S., Mike returns home but maintains a low profile. He tells the cab driver to drive past the house where all his friends are assembled, as he is embarrassed by the fuss made over him by Linda and the others. He visits Linda and grows close to her but only because of the friend they both think they have lost. Mike is eventually told about Angela, whom he goes to visit at the home of Steven’s mother. She is lethargic and barely responsive. When asked by Mike about Steven’s whereabouts, she writes a phone number on a scrap of paper, which leads Mike to the local veterans’ hospital where Steven has been for several months.

Mike goes hunting with Axel, John and Stanley one more time, and after tracking a deer across the woods, takes his “one shot” but pulls the rifle up and fires into the air. He then sits on a rock escarpmentand yells out, “OK?” which echoes back at him from the opposing rock faces leading down to the river, signifying his fight with his mental demons over losing Steven and Nick. He also berates Stanley for carrying around a small revolver and waving it around, not realizing it is still loaded. Mike visits Steven, who has lost both of his legs and is partially paralyzed. Steven reveals that someone in Saigon has been mailing large amounts of money to him, and Mike is convinced that it is Nick. Mike brings Steven home to Angela and then travels to Saigon just before its fall in 1975.

He tracks down Grinda, who has made a lot of money from the Russian roulette-playing Nick. He finds Nick in a crowded roulette club, but Nick appears to have no recollection of his friends or his home in Pennsylvania. Mike realizes that Nick thinks that he and Steven are dead, since Nick was the only one who made it back on the helicopter. Mike enters himself in a game of Russian roulette against Nick, hoping to jog Nick’s memory and persuade him to come home, but Nick’s mind is gone. At the last moment, after Mike’s attempts to remind him of their hunting trips together, he finally breaks through, and Nick recognizes Mike and smiles. Nick then tells Mike, “one shot”, raises the gun to his temple, and pulls the trigger. The bullet is in the gun’s top chamber, and Nick kills himself. Horrified, Mike tries reviving him, but to no avail.

Epilogue[edit]

Back home in 1975, there is a funeral for Nick, whom Michael brings home, good to his promise. The film ends with everyone at John’s bar, singing “God Bless America“. Mike toasts in Nick’s honour.

‘MORE THAN A GLITCH’: WATCH THE NEW HILARIOUS YET SCATHING OBAMACARE AD FROM THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION

Oct. 9, 2013 5:20pm Jason Howerton/ The Blaze

With Obamacare’s seriously bumpy rollout, it was only a matter of time before the parody ads mocking President Barack Obama’s signature health care law started popping up. A new video put together by the Heritage Foundation puts a comedic spin on all the glitches, endless wait times and premium rate increases that are now associated with Obamacare.

The Heritage Foundation provided TheBlaze with the exclusive sneak peak at the new ad.

“If you’ve been waiting to be covered in mandates, regulations and new fees, the time is finally here — sort of,” the ad’s narrator says as the screen shows the common “the system is down” message at the healthcare.gov website. “You guys, stop showing that screen.”

The video goes on to rattle off a long list of warnings, similar to the kind of list you would hear during a commercial for a prescription drug.

“Obamacare may cause wait times, a decline in health care quality, money loss, political activism, anger, despair, hopelessness, frustration, European envy, dependence and nausea.”

“If you wish to opt out of Obamacare for any reason, please start a multimillion dollar business, join a union or run for Congress,” the video’s narrator concludes.

Sometimes you have to laugh so you won’t cry.

It IS crap. Our stable society is being assailed from all sides by the unstable Left. Obammycare, War, Taxes, Amnesty, Sexual Deviancy, the war on our children by educators in and out of our schools…

It’s pretty clear that war has been declared on us by the government. I just hope we all realize it before they make an official announcement.

One King to Rule them ALL

#WhatILearnedToday Beck wrong? Obama is not just in bed with the muslim brotherhood he’s going down on’em.

Glenn Beck has the “why bho wants to bomb Syria ” wrong… sorta. It could be that the US needs to blow up the weapons “We” sent to syria byway of Benghazi so Assad can’t show them off the world. The dozen other reasons Beck explains all seem reasonable if a bit convoluted. the real and simple answer as to why BHO wants Assad out is whom is going to be in. The Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama is trying to do in/to Syria what he already did to/in Egypt, Libya and some others, install the muslim brotherhood the sets of power in as many Mideast places as possible. Bho is in bed with the brotherhood (giving them a rim job) Beck already knows why for those of you asking, in fact he’s been saying it for a few years now. The same reason BHO is helping with what he is doing is the mideast with the muslim brotherhood. First bring the middle east under the control of the brotherhood then find….

A King of Islam to rule them All.

Yes Texas needs to get going. In an economic crisis the people voted not one but twice for BO it is very hard to argue with that kind of Short Bus. Texas has spent billions in the last few years but not on Texans. They have spent most of it on Katrina refugees and illegal aliens and the fact that they won’t go home. Houston alone had to raise taxes just to cover the cost of tutors year round to attempt to bring NOLO kids up to speed for the schools. Couple that with slashed oil production because of Obamas illegal shutting of federal oil leases and lands and the out of work roughnecks, and the EPA stopping mining and production of energy as well as the thousands of businesses that have been closed as a result and you have a lot of red ink.

If Texas seceded most of the Welfare professionals would leave immediately and probably go to Cali or Maine for the lavish benefits. The working welfare cases would just go back to work. Also the corporate taxes that the federal government relies so heavily on like Exxon and Valero would no longer go to DC and let us not forget how much military hardware and munitions the Federal Government purchases that is made right here in Texas. The Agri-Business from Texas A&M and the number of US military personnel.

I think Texas would do much better after a soul restoring divorce from this abusive dysfunctional marriage we have had to endure with the self centered egotistical parasitic rest of the nation.

BHO NSA must do better at keeping out of news

AP:

President Barack Obama is acknowledging he must “do a better job” (at everything) of giving Americans confidence in the programs the National Security Agency has deployed to guard against terrorism.  oh we are confident that the government is violating our rights every day in as many ways as possible.

Obama says the administration should “continue to improve the safeguards” of these initiatives. of course the “safeguards” he’s talking about are, people not finding out about these “initiatives”

His remarks on CNN’s “New Day” show Friday came in the wake of new revelations that the electronic spying program scooped up as many as 56,000 (anyone else find that number to be conveniently low) emails and other communications annually over three years by Americans not connected to terrorism.

The president conceded the NSA had “inadvertently, accidentally,(oops) pulled the emails” of some Americans. (using Google)  But he also said the programs are necessary, “these aren’t unique to the NSA” (every gov. dep. is doing it, IRS ring a bell) and the United States has to adapt “in the right way” to the confluence of terrorist threats and rapidly advancing technology.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

Where you read Communist, Russia, Soviet  think Progressive “left/right” liberal.

[From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen]

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

A Turn of Choice

A Turn of Choice

Individual choice = Good
Government / Mob / Group demanding = Bad

If an individual chooses to do or not to do something for his/her self that is good, even if it’s a bad choice or if you think it’s a bad choice.
If the government  or left/right mob choses for you IE ‘forces” you to do or not to do something for yourself, family, business, even if it is said to be good or if you think it is good, then it really is bad.

Segregation / Intergradation (not just a white/black thing)
A person choosing to live, work, do business with this person, place or thing that they self-identify with to almost but not the exclusion of others that is self-segregation, and believe it or not that is good.
If the Gov. /Mob separatists group demands that you “will or will not” live, work, do business with this person, place or thing to the exclusion of others, that is, you can/can’t eat, drink, live, work, build and or do business, because, you are not like us or “we” don’t like/want you here etc… in other words forced segregation and that is bad.

I.e. demanding that you can’t build a Wal-Mart here is just as bad as demanding that you have to build a Wal-Mart there.

Conversely if a person chooses to live etc. where others have self-segregated to, that is to say self-integrate into a social-group/place etc. is more than good it is better for said person/group because the acceptance into an among said group is then mutual. (Directed and received by each toward the other; reciprocal: mutual respect.)

I.e. if you believe in “Christ” and the teachings in the “bible” you are welcomed into “this” church.

If however you don’t and the Gov./mob forces you or the “group” to integrate with one another to the extent that both parties do not want to be “there” then you will have animosity, nervousness, suspicions, and a general feeling of comfortableness  between the two groups. Imagine forcing a catholic church to hold mass with/within an islamic mass/mosque, or vice versa, the results would be disastrous.

In short if; white, black, yellow, brown, red, gray, gay, strait, religious, non- religious, rich not so rich and poor Blah-blah so on and so forth choose to do or not to do in part or in whole it is far better than if we, he, she, it, they, whatever are forced to by government or well-intended left/right group.

You are the best person to decide what your life is to be and with that you are the only person that responsibility falls too.

With Love, Jon
